Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate, won the Bhola-3 constituency (Lalmohan and Tazumuddin) by a large margin in the 13th National Parliamentary Election. According to results announced on Thursday night, February 12, he received 151,774 votes, while his nearest rival, Md. Nizamul Haque Naim of the Bangladesh Development Party (BDP), secured 55,660 votes.
Voting took place across 42,779 centers nationwide from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the same day. Alongside the parliamentary election, a national referendum was also held across the country. The Bhola-3 result was part of broader outcomes showing BNP victories in several constituencies, including Madaripur, Sylhet-4, Naogaon, and Pabna-5.
The results indicate a strong performance by the BNP in multiple regions during the 13th National Parliamentary Election, reflecting significant voter support in key constituencies.
