Complexities Arise in Admission Process of Seven Colleges Following Dhaka University’s Decision to Cancel Affiliation
A significant complication has emerged regarding the admission process for the seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University, following the announcement that students will no longer be admitted under the university’s affiliation starting from this academic year. While applications for undergraduate (honors) first-year admission at these colleges have already begun, it remains unclear under whose jurisdiction the admission exams will be held. The government has announced plans to establish a new university for the seven colleges. However, as creating a new university involves time-consuming processes related to laws, regulations, and structure, there is uncertainty about when the new university will actually come into being.
