Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sajjad Ali inspected the security measures at the National Eidgah on Sunday morning, stating that there are no specific threats this Eid. However, authorities have taken comprehensive security measures, considering all possible challenges. A five-tier security plan has been implemented for Eid prayers at the National Eidgah and across Dhaka. The commissioner confirmed that the President, cabinet members, and other dignitaries will attend the main congregation. To ensure safety, 15,000 police personnel will be deployed, alongside members of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC), Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU), plainclothes detectives, and the military. Additionally, over a hundred CCTV cameras will monitor the area.
ডিএমপি কমিশনার শেখ মো. সাজ্জাত আলী বলেছেন, এবার ঈদে সুনির্দিষ্ট কোনো থ্রেট নেই। তবে সব ধরনের চ্যালেঞ্জ মাথায় রেখেই নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। জাতীয় ঈদগাহ ময়দানে ও রাজধানীর ঈদ জামাতগুলোকে কেন্দ্র করে পাঁচ স্তরের নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা হাতে নেওয়া হয়েছে।
