
Exports to U.S. Drop Amid Trump’s Tariff Threats, Japan Faces Trade Deficit
Japan’s overall exports have declined for the second consecutive month, driven by a sharp fall in shipments to the United States amid tariff threats from former U.S. President Donald Trump. In June, Japan’s total exports fell by 0.5%, while exports to the U.S. dropped by 11%. Notably, automobile exports to the U.S. plunged by 26.7%.
