Following a petition from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), a court has ordered the seizure of the tax records of former minister Tajul Islam and his wife, Fauzia Islam. Tajul is accused of illegally acquiring assets worth BDT 780.2 million through misuse of power and financial irregularities. Similarly, Fauzia is alleged to have amassed BDT 690.02 million through undisclosed sources.
