Foreign Affairs Adviser Tawhid Hossain has accused Indian media of disseminating misinformation about Bangladesh globally. “The people of our country must stay vigilant against false narratives spread by Indian media,” he warned. Addressing Bangladesh’s transition out of the Least Developed Country (LDC) category, he clarified, “We are not seeking to delay our LDC graduation. This has been known for a long time, yet businesses have taken little action to prepare. By 2026, we will complete our graduation process—there’s no turning back.” He also acknowledged ongoing passport issues faced by Bangladeshi expatriates in Oman and assured them that the government is actively working on a solution. Additionally, he mentioned that within two months, the government would introduce significant reforms in the textile sector.
