All Customs Houses in Bangladesh to Remain Open During Weekend Holiday

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has instructed all customs houses across Bangladesh to remain open on Friday and Saturday to ensure uninterrupted import-export operations. This decision comes after recent disruptions in cargo clearance caused by slow performance of the ASYCUDA World System. Affected customs houses include Chattogram, Dhaka, Benapole, Kamalapur ICD, Mongla, and Pangaon. All trade associations and related government bodies have been notified. This move follows earlier shutdowns linked to NBR staff protests demanding the chairman’s removal.

All Customs Houses to Remain Open Today and Tomorrow

All customs houses across the country will remain open during the two-day holiday. The National Board of Revenue (NBR) issued this directive yesterday through its Customs Policy Wing to the Chattogram Customs House, Dhaka Customs House, Benapole Customs House, Kamalapur ICD Customs House, Mongla, and Pangaon Customs Houses. The instruction came via a letter signed by the First Secretary (Customs Policy), Roich Uddin Khan.
