Corruption by Former Vice Chancellor Abdus Sobhan : ACC Investigation Delayed Due to Non-Cooperation by RU Administration
Former Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University (RU), Professor Dr. M. Abdus Sobhan, appointed 138 teachers and staff members in violation of a directive from the Ministry of Education. To investigate his various irregularities and corruption, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) formed a three-member committee. Despite sending multiple letters to the university administration seeking information on Sobhan for the purpose of the investigation, the ACC has not received any cooperation. As a result, the investigation into Sobhan’s corruption is being delayed, according to officials involved in the probe.
