Massive Gathering at Teesta Banks, Protest Site Echoes with Slogans

The Teesta Rail Bridge area, connecting Rangpur and Lalmonirhat, has become a hub of protests, echoing with slogans like “Jago Bahe—Save Teesta!” Since Monday morning (February 17), tens of thousands of people have gathered under the bridge to join the 48-hour sit-in protest organized by the Save Teesta Movement. The demonstration is part of a broader effort across five districts of the Rangpur division, demanding the implementation of the Teesta Treaty and the Teesta Master Plan to protect the river.
