Amid disruptions in rail services caused by a strike by railway running staff, the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has introduced an alternative bus service on key rail routes. Passengers can use their valid train tickets to travel on these buses. The service covers routes like Dhaka to Chattogram, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna, Cumilla, Bogura, and Mymensingh. This alternative arrangement will continue until further notice. Bangladesh Railways also assures refunds for tickets of canceled trains.

Passengers Can Travel on BRTC Buses Using Train Tickets

Train services across the country have been suspended due to a strike by Bangladesh Railway’s running staff. In response, passengers traveling from Dhaka Railway Station and Airport Railway Station to destinations like Chattogram, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna, Cumilla, Bogura, and Mymensingh can use their purchased train tickets to travel via BRTC bus services. Similarly, passengers from these locations can use the service to travel to Dhaka. This BRTC bus service will remain operational until further notice.

Canceled Train Tickets Can Be Used for Bus Travel

Rail communication across Bangladesh is being disrupted due to a strike by the running staff of Bangladesh Railways. As an alternative, the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has introduced bus services on major rail routes to facilitate passenger travel. “Passengers traveling to Chattogram, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna, Cumilla, Bogura, and Mymensingh from Dhaka Railway Station and Airport Railway Station can use their purchased train tickets to travel via the BRTC bus service. Similarly, passengers from these locations can travel to Dhaka using the same service.”
