Handicrafts made from natural materials like jute, hogla leaves, water hyacinth, and straw are being exported to Europe from Bangladesh. These eco-friendly daily-use products are being crafted by women entrepreneur Sabekunnahar Mitu from Byasdi village in Madhukhali upazila, Faridpur. Her company “LAM Creations” operates two factories producing items such as bags, mats, baskets, and decorative items, now exported to multiple European countries. Recently, she received a women entrepreneur award from Bangladesh Bank.
