BNP Pledges to Implement International Law to End Enforced Disappearances: Tarique Rahman
BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman has said that enforced disappearance is an international crime and a grave violation of human rights. On behalf of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), he pledged that if the party comes to power through people’s votes, it will ensure that such incidents never occur again in Bangladesh. He added that BNP would enact necessary laws in line with the United Nations convention on the prevention of enforced disappearances. “Justice will be served for this heinous crime—this is our commitment,” he said.
