UN Inquiry Report on July Uprising to be Released Wednesday
The UN has prepared a report on human rights violations during Bangladesh’s July-August 2024 protests. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk will present the findings in Geneva on March 5. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube at 6 PM Bangladesh time. After the release, discussions will be held with member states and civil society representatives. Türk emphasized that the report will support accountability and justice, addressing past violence and aiding Bangladesh’s human rights reforms.
