The Ministry of Commerce has dissolved the executive committee of the Bangladesh Printing Industry Association due to allegations of corruption and irregularities. Deputy Secretary Sandip Kumar Sarker has been appointed as administrator to oversee the organization. A fresh election must be held within 120 days. The committee failed to provide satisfactory explanations for their misconduct. The decision was made under Section 17 of the Trade Organization Act, 2022, and the administrator will notify the ministry after handing over responsibilities to the newly elected committee.
অনিয়ম-দুর্নীতির অভিযোগে বাংলাদেশ মুদ্রণ শিল্প সমিতির কমিটি বিলুপ্ত করেছে বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়। একই সঙ্গে উপ-সচিব সন্দ্বীপ কুমার সরকারকে প্রশাসক পদে নিয়োগ দেওয়া হয়েছে। রোববার বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয় এ সংক্রান্ত একটি অফিস আদেশ জারি করেছে। আদেশে ১২০ দিনের মধ্যে সুষ্ঠু নির্বাচন আয়োজনের নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
