A violent clash erupted in Madhabpur on Eid day over a power struggle between two Awami League leaders—Masud Khan and Benu Mia. The conflict began when supporters of one group attacked a rival member at Bejura Bus Station, leading to a three-hour-long battle with homemade weapons. At least 50 people, including the local police OC, were injured. Many were seriously wounded and taken to hospitals in Madhabpur, Brahmanbaria, and Habiganj. Police have been deployed, and the situation is now under control.

Among the injured is the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madhabpur Police Station, Abdullah Al Mamun, who was hurt while trying to stop the conflict. The seriously injured have been taken to hospitals in Madhabpur, Brahmanbaria, and Habiganj. A large contingent of police is currently deployed at the scene.
