"Dream of a New Bangladesh Will Remain Elusive If Elections Are Held Under the Old Framework — Akhtar Hossain"

Akhtar Hossain, Member Secretary of the National Citizens' Party (NCP), has stated that "If parliamentary elections are held under the old framework, the dream of a new Bangladesh will remain out of reach. Even if the dream comes close, it will slip away. There is no alternative to elections for democracy in Bangladesh. A peaceful election must be organized to restore a culture of voting."
