Bangladesh’s Minister for Disaster Management and Relief, Asadul Habib Dulu, has called on all sections of society to work together in building a drug- and casino-free environment while maintaining educational standards. He made the remarks on Friday at the 30th anniversary celebration of Begum Kamrunnesa Degree College in Lalmonirhat, where he served as the chief guest. The minister emphasized that students and youth must take the lead in this effort, supported by parents, teachers, and conscious citizens.

Dulu stated that destructive activities such as drugs and casinos must be eradicated from society, warning that those involved face a bleak future. He urged young people to stay away from such negative influences and focus on education and moral values. He also highlighted the importance of teacher dedication and student regularity in improving educational quality. The minister praised the college’s contributions to education and nation-building and expressed his commitment to developing it into a more modern institution.

The event featured a flag-raising ceremony, tree planting, a colorful rally, discussions, cultural performances, and the announcement of a new alumni association committee.
