NCP leader Sarjis Alam stated that they do not expect the military to interfere in the country’s internal politics but rather fulfill its responsibilities and obligations towards the nation. He clarified that there is no internal disagreement regarding their meeting with the army chief. Sarjis Alam also warned against any attempts to revive the Awami League under different names, such as a “Refined Awami League,” emphasizing that neither the military nor any other entity should entertain such ideas. He urged the government to treat misinformation as a serious issue and establish an anti-rumor task force to counter false narratives.
