Discussions with Brands and Buyers Should Begin Immediately

Dr. Mashrur Riaz, chairman of the private research organization Policy Exchange, believes that discussions should start immediately between garment industry owners and U.S. brands and buyers regarding whether the burden of the increased tariff should be borne solely by consumers or if importers also have responsibilities. Otherwise, a decline in demand could create new risks.
