TCB Launches Truck Sale of Subsidized Goods with Price Hike and Reduced Coverage

The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has started its truck sale program today, offering subsidized edible oil, masoor dal, and sugar at increased prices but with a reduced service area. While previously covering 64 districts, this time the program operates in four metropolitan areas and five districts. Prices for masoor dal, oil, and sugar have risen by 10-15 taka per kg/liter. Sales continue until mid-September in Dhaka and late August elsewhere, targeting low-income families through Smart Family Cards and general consumers.

TSCB’s Truck Sale of Products Begins Today

The state-owned trading organization, Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB), is starting its truck sale (open market) product sales today, Sunday. This time, prices of TCB truck sale products have increased, but the coverage area has decreased. While TCB sold subsidized goods in 64 districts last March, this time the activities will be conducted in four metropolitan areas including Dhaka and five districts.

The ‘1 Nojor’ media platform is now live in beta, inviting users to explore and provide feedback as we continue to refine the experience.
