Md. Ataur Rahman Sarkar, the Publicity and Media Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Dhaka North Metropolitan branch and Jamaat-nominated candidate for the Brahmanbaria-4 constituency, has stated that there is no alternative to honest, qualified, skilled, patriotic, and God-fearing leadership to turn the culturally rich and intellectually significant Kasba-Akhaura upazila—birthplace of many prominent individuals—into a prosperous region free from terrorism, extortion, and drugs. Jamaat has presented such leadership before the nation.
