Road Built in Satkhira Collapses Within Three Years
In Satkhira Sadar Upazila, a 1,700-meter road was constructed along the Kolkata Canal embankment in 2023. The project, under the Rural Infrastructure Development Project of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), cost 14.6 million taka. However, within just three years of construction, 400 meters of the road have collapsed. This has disrupted business activities and caused difficulties for residents of Sadar, Debhata, Ashashuni, and Kaliganj upazilas, including students.
