An unidentified man entered Saghata Police Station in Gaibandha on Thursday night and stabbed Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Mohsin Ali in the head and hand. The attacker also attempted to snatch a rifle before fleeing by jumping into a nearby pond behind the station. After an overnight search, his body was recovered Friday morning by the fire service. His identity remains unknown. ASI Mohsin Ali is currently in stable condition and out of danger.
