NCP chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari has alleged that corruption and irregularities have spread across Bangladesh’s parliament and secretariat. Speaking at a grand rally organized by the 11-party alliance at Laldighi Maidan in Chattogram on June 13, 2026, he said the government’s announced budget was not a true budget but a gazette designed to enrich BNP leaders and activists. He criticized the budget for lacking any measures to create employment for the country’s unemployed population.
Patwari further claimed that the recent national election in Bangladesh had been engineered through an agreement with Delhi, accusing the government of deceiving the public under foreign influence. He stated that genuine Bangladesh-India relations would only be possible when border killings stop and justice-based friendship is established. He emphasized that his party does not engage in extortion or corruption and warned that if limits are crossed, a new revolt could be declared from Chattogram.
He reiterated that the budget legitimizes extortion and fails to reflect the sacrifices of martyrs, expressing strong condemnation of it.
