Embankment Collapse on Majutkhali River in Jashore Sparks Fear Among Three Villages

A section of the embankment along the Majutkhali River in Abhaynagar, Jashore has collapsed, causing alarm among residents of three nearby villages. In response, locals have filled the damaged area with soil and erected bamboo fencing. However, with the monsoon season in full swing, there is growing concern that the embankment could give way completely, submerging the villages in floodwater. Residents are urging authorities to carry out immediate repairs and implement a permanent solution.
