Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rakibul Islam of Uzirpur Model Police Station has again been recognized as Barishal district’s best OC. The announcement was made at the district police’s monthly welfare meeting held on Monday, July 21, 2026, at the office of the Superintendent of Police. The evaluation was based on law and order control, crime prevention, service delivery, and administrative performance. Uzirpur Model Police Station also received honors in several categories for its overall performance in June.
Police sources said Rakibul Islam has shown consistent success in maintaining law and order, conducting anti-drug operations, executing warrants, and promoting community-friendly policing since taking charge seven months ago. During this period, he has been named the district’s best OC five times, while Uzirpur Model Police Station has earned the best station title five times as well.
After receiving the award, Rakibul Islam credited the achievement to the collective effort, professionalism, and integrity of his team, emphasizing continued commitment to public service and crime-free policing in Uzirpur.
