Admiral Nazmul Hasan assumed the role of Navy Chief on July 24, 2023. He was commissioned into the Bangladesh Navy on July 1, 1986, and has served in various staff, instructional, and command positions. His previous roles include Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations), Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel), Director of Naval Operations and Naval Intelligence, and Director General of the Civil-Military Relations Directorate at the Armed Forces Division.
The farewell meeting highlighted the continuity of cooperation between the Bangladesh Army and Navy as leadership transitions take place within the armed forces.
