Human Rights Crisis Persists in Bangladesh One Year After Hasina’s Escape: Human Rights Watch

International human rights organization Human Rights Watch (HRW) has reported that the interim government led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus has lagged behind in protecting human rights in Bangladesh. In a report published on Wednesday (July 30), the organization said that despite the success of mass protests a year ago that toppled the autocratic government, Yunus’s interim administration has fallen short in safeguarding human rights.
