Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar has alleged that the government has failed to bring stability to the country even after three and a half months in power. Speaking at a divisional gathering of party officials in Khulna’s Sonadanga area, he said severe disorder prevails in the energy sector and the government cannot control market conditions. He accused the authorities of creating new opportunities for corruption by rehabilitating looters in the banking sector and urged party leaders to raise public awareness on the issue.
The event was chaired by Jamaat’s central executive member and Khulna regional director Principal Izzat Ullah MP, with several other central and regional leaders addressing the gathering. Porwar expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation, blaming the government for failing to ensure public safety. He stated that the current administration cannot avoid responsibility for the decline in national security.
He also called on party officials to work for the success of the upcoming Khulna divisional rally of the 11-party alliance scheduled for June 20.
