Aryan, Bappi, and Humayr, three young boys from the same extended family, died in a military jet crash near Milestone School in Dhaka’s Uttara. Close in age, they were best friends, classmates, and playmates who attended school and coaching together. All three were fatally injured in the incident; two initially survived but later died in the hospital. The children were buried side by side, leaving the local community and their families devastated. Two more students from the area also died in the crash.
Just like every other day, on Monday morning, Aryan, Bappi, and Humayr went to school together. These students of grades three and four were attending coaching classes after school. They were supposed to return home afterward. They did return — but not in the way anyone could have imagined.
