A headmistress of a government primary school in Bakerganj upazila of Barishal has been accused of misappropriating food allocated for students under the school feeding program. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon at Ranihat Government Primary School in Charadi Union, sparking widespread discussion in the area.

According to local residents, headmistress Reshma Akter Misti had allegedly been taking food meant for students for a long time. Witnesses claimed that after school hours, locals demanded to check her bag, and upon inspection, 24 eggs and 22 pieces of bread were reportedly found inside. The news quickly spread, drawing a crowd to the school premises.

Locals described the alleged act as deeply disappointing and called for a proper investigation and legal action if the allegations are proven. Upazila Education Officer Ruhul Amin confirmed awareness of the complaint and stated that an investigation would be conducted to verify the truth before taking necessary action as per regulations.
