BNP leader Abdul Moin Khan told Reuters that December is a generally acceptable timeframe for elections. He warned that postponing elections beyond this period would complicate the country’s political situation. He added that the interim government should understand that holding early elections would be their best course of action. Previously, the Chief Adviser announced that elections would be held in either December this year or June 2026. However, NCP convenor Nahid Islam suggested that holding elections this year would be challenging due to ongoing security concerns.
