Congress alleges land given to Adani at ₹1 a year

The Congress has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s close associate, industrialist Gautam Adani, of receiving special favors. According to the party, 1,050 acres of land in Bhagalpur, Bihar—containing nearly one million trees—has been handed over to the Adani Group on a 33-year lease for just ₹1 per year. A 2,400 MW thermal power plant is to be built on the site.
