Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. A. F. M. Khalid Hossain has said that Bangladesh’s traditional madrasa education system must not be allowed to collapse under the pressure of excessive modernization. Speaking at a seminar in Dhaka, he highlighted the historic contributions of Alia madrasas and called for restoring their unique identity and past glory.
He noted that after being suppressed for 16 years, Islamic studies are now gaining renewed attention in national universities, which could positively impact the broader education system. He urged unity to protect madrasa education from fascist influences.
ধর্ম উপদেষ্টা ড. আ ফ ম খালিদ হোসেন বলেছেন, মাদ্রাসা শিক্ষা একটি বিশেষায়িত শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা। এটিকে ধরে রাখতে হবে। অতি আধুনিকতার নামে এ শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাকে ধ্বংসের মুখে পতিত হতে দেওয়া যাবে না। এ শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থার স্বাতন্ত্র্য বজায় রাখতে হবে। মাদরাসা শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থার অতীত ঐতিহ্য ফিরিয়ে আনতে হবে।
