Mexico Emerges as an Alternative Trade Route from Asia to the U.S. Amid Panama Canal Water Shortages
Mexico is positioning itself as a new alternative for trade from Asia to the United States, as the Panama Canal faces water scarcity. Rail operators claim that using this shorter southern route in Mexico allows goods to reach the U.S. much faster than via the Panama Canal or Canadian routes, according to Nikkei Asia.
