Major General (Retd.) Salahuddin Miyazi, former military secretary to Sheikh Hasina and MP of Jhenaidah-3, was detained by students and locals in Chanchra Union’s Shyamolchhaya Park on Tuesday (February 18). Allegations of misconduct and public grievances led to the citizen-led apprehension. Later that night, he was handed over to the police. The incident reflects growing tensions and public dissatisfaction. Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the arrest.

Students and Public Hand Over Sheikh Hasina’s Military Secretary to Police

Former military secretary of Sheikh Hasina and MP of Jhenaidah-3 constituency, Major General (Retd.) Salahuddin Miyazi, has been handed over to the police by students and the public. On Tuesday (February 18), he was detained by students and the public from Shyamolchhaya Park in Chanchra Union of Sadar Upazila. Later at night, he was handed over to the police.
