The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 377 individuals in the capital during a 24-hour regular operation, according to a report published on July 14, 2026. The arrests were made across various police divisions, and 41 cases were filed in connection with the drives. The operation also led to the recovery of illegal drugs and other items.
Among those detained, 40 were arrested in Ramna Division, 26 in Lalbagh, 55 in Wari, 25 in Motijheel, 64 in Tejgaon, 85 in Mirpur, 32 in Gulshan, 43 in Uttara, and 7 by the Detective Branch. The police seized 3,030 yaba pills, 55 kilograms and 230 grams of cannabis, 1,200 bottles of phensedyl, one private car, two microbuses, a lock-cutting machine, six mobile phones, and 330 taka in cash. One victim was also rescued during the operation.
The report highlights the DMP’s ongoing efforts to curb drug-related crimes and maintain law and order across Dhaka through regular enforcement actions.
