Rice Prices Continue to Rise in Rangpur Despite Peak Season

The Boro harvest season for this year wrapped up in early June, with most farmers already having sold their crops. Now, they are busy preparing seedbeds for the upcoming Aman season. Yet, despite being in the peak Boro season, rice prices in Rangpur are on the rise. In just one month, the price of all varieties of rice has increased by more than 4 taka per kilogram.
