Political Parties’ Reactions to April Election Announcement

Following the statement by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus about holding elections between December and June, the country’s largest political party, BNP, has expressed dissatisfaction for several months. They accused the Chief Advisor of delaying the announcement of a specific election date. Several other parties echoed similar sentiments. In this context, on Friday (June 6), the day before the holy Eid-ul-Azha, Dr. Yunus delivered a speech to the nation announcing the long-awaited specific election timeframe.
