Britain's The Sun reported that the main religious and traditional ceremony will take place at the historic cathedral in Funchal, the capital of Madeira. The cathedral ceremony is described as the central formal part of the couple's planned wedding celebration.
Preparations are also underway at the luxury five-star Savoy Palace hotel in Funchal to host guests after the ceremony. Security at the hotel has been tightened for the event. Hotel authorities have said that two designated floors and several bars will be completely closed to the general public on Friday and Saturday.
