Two Hostels for the Disabled Not Operational Even After 5 Years of Construction

The construction of two hostels for the visually impaired was completed over five years ago. However, since they have not been inaugurated, the hostels have yet to begin operations. Due to lack of use, various equipment and furniture worth nearly 25 million taka are deteriorating. Authorities say the hostels will be opened soon once staff recruitment is completed.
