EC Sends Letters to 82 Parties Including NCP for Registration Failures

Ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary elections, 144 new political parties have applied to the Election Commission (EC) for registration. However, none have passed the preliminary scrutiny. In the first phase, the EC sent letters to 62 parties seeking additional information to fill gaps. Now, in the second phase, the commission has begun sending letters to 82 parties, including the National Citizen Party (NCP).
