Dredging Management Policy: Government-approved dredgers required for river, canal, haor, and waterbody excavation

All rivers, canals, waterbodies, and haors in the country must be excavated using government-approved dredgers. Any excavation carried out otherwise will be considered illegal. This condition has been included in the newly formulated “Dredging and Dredged Material Management Policy, 2025.” For the first time in the country, both public and private entities are required to comply with this dredging management policy.
