New Decision on Indian Visas
The issuance of Indian visas to Bangladeshis—except for emergency medical purposes—has been suspended for nearly a year. Amid this ongoing suspension, India has increased its visa processing fee.
India has raised its visa processing fee for Bangladeshi applicants from BDT 824 to BDT 1,500, effective August 8, due to increased operational costs. Visa issuance remains suspended for nearly a year, except for emergency medical cases. Limited appointment slots are available for urgent visas at Indian Visa Application Centers in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Sylhet, and Khulna. Bangladeshi students and workers transiting to third countries via India may still apply, provided they have prior appointments with the respective foreign embassies.
