A violent clash erupted between two groups over the observance of a religious festival at a shrine in Kalikapur, Habiganj, leaving at least 30 people injured. Law enforcement, including police and army personnel, intervened to bring the situation under control. Locals reported that Awami League activists previously controlled the festival management. However, after Sheikh Hasina's government fell on August 5 following a student-led revolution, BNP members attempted to take charge. The conflict intensified between two rival factions—one led by Jubo Dal leader Nazrul Gazi and the other by Baghasura UP BNP General Secretary Sajidul Islam Sajal. A major clash first broke out on February 22, and tensions escalated again on Tuesday morning, resulting in fresh violence.
