Bangladesh’s Home Ministry has transferred four deputy inspectors general of prisons, according to a notification signed on Sunday by Deputy Secretary Md Aminul Islam. The order covers officials serving in the prison directorate and the Dhaka, Khulna and Rangpur divisions.
Tipu Sultan, serving in Gazipur under Dhaka Division-2, has been transferred to the prison directorate. Md Altaf Hossain, previously at the prison directorate, has been posted to the Khulna divisional headquarters.
Md Kamal Hossain, who was serving in the Rangpur division, has been moved to Gazipur under Dhaka Division-2. Monir Ahmed, previously assigned to the Khulna division, has been transferred as deputy inspector general of prisons at the Rangpur divisional headquarters.
