Last Day of Amar Ekushey Book Fair Today, No Extension This Year

The Amar Ekushey Book Fair concludes today (February 28) without an extension. The fair will be open from 11 AM to 9 PM on its final day. Dr. Sarkar Amin, Member-Secretary of the organizing committee, stated that logistical and religious considerations led to the decision. He emphasized that despite challenges, the fair was a success, serving as a cultural hub beyond book sales. The Bangla Academy is considering independently managing future fairs. The 2025 fair was inaugurated by Professor Muhammad Yunus, with Mostofa Sarwar Farooki as a special guest.

Amar Ekushey Book Fair Concludes Today

The beloved Amar Ekushey Book Fair comes to an end on Friday (February 28). This year, the duration of the fair will not be extended. The curtain falls today on this cherished literary festival of Bengalis. However, as it is a holiday, the book fair will open at 11 AM and close at 9 PM. Considering factors such as Ramadan and other surrounding circumstances, there are no plans to extend the duration of the fair. All activities will conclude as scheduled. Since Friday is the last day of February, it will also mark the final day of this year’s book fair.
