Harvard University Sues Trump Administration Over Federal Funding Freeze
Harvard University has filed a federal lawsuit against the Trump administration, accusing it of violating the university’s constitutional rights by freezing billions of dollars in federal funding. In a community message, Harvard President Alan Garber announced the legal action, stating, “Last week, after Harvard refused to comply with the Trump administration’s unlawful demands, the federal government took several retaliatory steps, causing significant harm to the university.” He added, “Just moments ago, we filed a lawsuit to halt the suspension of funds, as the move is illegal and beyond the government’s authority.”
