Abdul Hannan Masud, the senior joint chief coordinator of the NCP and candidate of the 11-party alliance, has been unofficially declared the winner in the Noakhali-6 (Hatiya) constituency during the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The result was announced early Friday, February 13, 2026, at around 3 a.m. by the Hatiya Upazila Executive Officer and Assistant Returning Officer. Masud, contesting under the Shapla Koli symbol, secured 90,118 votes, defeating his nearest rival Mahbuber Rahman Shamim, the BNP central organizing secretary and candidate under the Sheaf of Paddy symbol, who received 63,372 votes.
Other candidates included independent contenders Fazlul Azim (4,680 votes), Tanvir Uddin Rajib (3,714 votes), and several others with smaller tallies. The constituency had a total of 339,184 registered voters, with 166,351 votes cast. According to the election officials, the voting process in Hatiya took place peacefully, with only minor incidents reported.
The unofficial results indicate a clear victory margin of 26,746 votes for Masud, consolidating the 11-party alliance’s position in the region.
