Special Preventive Measures at Shahjalal Airport to Curb Spread of COVID-19

Due to a sudden rise in infections from new sub-variants of the coronavirus—particularly Omicron—special precautionary measures have been implemented at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The airport authority has arranged for thermal scanners to measure the body temperature of incoming passengers using a non-contact method, operated by a medical team.
